Can anyone recommend an MPEG2 codec file plugin for WMP9.0?. This is to enable WMP9 play video files in the MPEG2 format which is widely used by most digital tv tuner cards. I am basically looking for a genuine freebie here, not a try-and-register utility.

Thanks for the prompt response. 3 files are indicated in the pack....ffdshow-20001012.exe, ffdshow-20041012-sse2.exe and ffdshow-20041012-sse.exe. I have downloaded all 3. Should I install all? any particular order? How can I know that the plugins for dvd (mpeg2) are included?

Only ONE file needs to be installed.

If your system has Pentium4 then sse2 one will give you more performance. If
you have P3 you can use SSE. Otherwise just install the other one.
