I am using "VideoReDo" version 221-445 to
select scenes and delete unwanted material.
I also have the Nero6 suite which I use for
burning DVDs.
I use the Compro DTV2 analogue-to-digital for
the VCR tape transfer.
I can not find in all these any way to adjust
the video quality "live" which I need because
some scenes in the original are satisfatory
but others (such as outdoors and scenes with
a bright background) need adjusting
constantly.
I can set the brightness etc properties
before the transfer, but this is no good
because the requirements vary.
Thanks

Live will be very difficult, doing it on the timeline of your video editor
after captures hould be easy. Split it into clips that need changing change
those adn then save it out to mpeg for your dvd.
Not sure if the apps you use can do it, but should have some rudimentary
control, so check the help files.
